Now a new stir went through the assembly; individual groups were called upon for organizational meetings with the master.

They put down the golden goblets from which they just had drunk, and went through golden gates into the rooms behind them - others prepared themselves for coming meetings with the mighty sage and waited near the doors.

From one of the gates now Mani saw their friends coming out, which she had met on the clearing; and her grand-mother too, who during the practice had turned herself into a white owl, was there again.

They came straight towards them and greeted them affectionately.

Mani had always quietly wondered about the unbelievable youthful freshness of her grand-mother, who looked indeed very mature and feminine, yet blossomed in a radiance of youthfulness, and who was gifted with exceeding beauty.

Mani had not seen her for many years but she realized that, as long as she could remember, she had not grown older but on the contrary had become only younger.

It was obvious enough that someone trained so well, that she can turn herself into an owl, can also assume the form and appearance of a perfectly young person.

In such a youthful form her grand-mother appeared to Mani; not a single wrinkle disfigured her radiant young face.

Her grand-mother and the companions told Mani now that they had been in a meeting with the master, reporting to him on the exercise, and that Mani - after all a part of and actor in the story and her own relative and friend - had observed the exercise because she was just ascending the Island of Happiness with her brother Sol, in order to ask the master for advice.

The master had then asked them - Mani's friends and her grand-mother continued - to tell her to go with Sol to the Island of Overflowing Wealth without wasting precious time.
