First they came into a large hall which to the right and to the left extended into infinity, and from golden rimy beakers they were given the golden-white nectar which the palace-flowers, carrying universes, collected so inly from heaven. Above herself Mani beheld the unfathomable firmament of stars. Most delicate plants blossomed like brilliant jewels in this hall of flowing bliss, and gave their multi-coloured light, surrounded by a golden glory, to the fullness of happiness which - permanently renewing itself in a lively flow - permeated the deep silence of the hall and subtly enlivened it. Mani had never enjoyed such a drink of bliss, and so she became very shy when she was given the golden rimy goblet. However, she saw all the many boys and girls drinking and her brother smiled at her encouragingly, and so she raised the goblet and drank from the golden-white fluid. At once she felt how millions of streams of bliss flowed towards her heart merging there into two streams, one golden and one silvery-white. She experienced how these two blessing streams united playfully - like two lovers meeting in a dance; and she felt deep within her heart how the unbounded streams of her innermost cosmic life-breath entered these two great flowing oceans, permeated them subtly from within and enlivened them. And she noticed that the golden stream turned into a man shining like the sun, and the silvery stream turned into a woman gleaming like the bright moon. Now she saw the golden shining sun-man and the silvery gleaming moon-woman dancing towards each other and permeating each other playfully in the infinite roundelay of eternity. And she noticed how they drank together from the continuously flowing cosmic life-breath and delighted in it. With their roundelay of bliss they fanned the fires of pure cognition within Mani, and sparks after sparks of bliss burst forth on infinite tracks from these fires within the fire. Through all her nerve-paths they entered over the magic streams of her veins into all unbounded spaces and times of her own everlasting existence - full of immeasurable wonders; and ever new wonders appeared everywhere swiftly as the wind and formed uncountable worlds. And Mani herself held all these worlds naturally together, simply because - she was. In that manner Mani gained the experience of complete freedom from all boundaries; and she looked into the golden glowing, snow-white gleaming world of her own immeasurable infinity. Endowed with the great divine boon of those who are allowed to look into the eye of wisdom, Mani entered the inner palace with her brother. |
