The Power of Time | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Through the daily association with it the truth disappears in the course of time easily from the view of man. And the result is that the streams of creative power stop flowing because the sources of truth dry up; and they dry up through contamination. “At the same time the king has to make sure that every citizen has unhindered access to pure truth and that the waters of the source of truth are available everywhere, in every household. This is no easy office since time simply brings it about that man gets used to the truth and to the natural blessing that springs from it. Also they gradually lose sight of the connexion between the truth and the diverse wealth that results from it, for they do not think about it anymore - after all everything is there in abundance. “But the owner of a precious stone enjoys only half the value of the jewel if he does not know its true value, therefore treats it carelessly, and finally hardly looks at it - assuming that it is a splinter of glass of little value. “And the closest relative or friend might be the least suitable person to explain to the owner that this old piece of glass is actually a highly precious jewel, and he should better treat it with due care. “In this way the knowledge of the practical value of wisdom loses its significance in human society, the sources of wisdom are contaminated due to the careless dealing with knowledge, and the streams of almighty creative power cease to flow. These streams, however, give all the power to master practical life, and when they cease to flow, this power is exhausted. |
