But
look at the sacrifice fires of the next ring as they rise towards the
sky, piled even finer. These are the cognitive fires of “Sound
governs from within the forces of the air, the fire, the water and the
earth, since it permeates them all. “This is why in all these rings of the rule over the world sound is employed to govern the elements, and is, by means of these songs, being sent into the worlds.” “If these singers did not direct their tunes into all the worlds, the coherence of the elements air, fire, water, and earth would be at risk, and the creation would break apart, because its inner coherence were missing.” “If
the songs of this fifth ring of cognition ceased, man would doubt the
meaning of life and would lose his spiritual goals. “The
music which the surf of the shore sends back to the island, is magnificent

rings of sacrificial fires were prepared by the master for the benefit
of the world. “Therefore
these rings of songs are also named ”the rings of the rule over
the world.” “But
besides their task of directing all the tensions of world politics into
the world ocean and harmonizing there the divergent human forces, these
rings of songs serve yet another, quite different purpose: they protect
the Island of Happiness from all outer influences. “All the noise of the world reaches up to the sea out there; the greetings of gratitude for their performance advance up to the bards, but nothing from outside finds its way any further than here.“ |
