The
Threshold of the Forces of Fate |

In
the light of the morning-sun they left the boat, and as they stepped
on the snow-white beach, the echo of their steps reverberated “To the cognizant the forces of sound directly reveal the effect of his action, and they show him spontaneously that the fruit of action surely returns to the actor - as surely and swiftly as the sound of our steps returns to us.” “So far we have travelled the worlds of the elements; now we enter the world of the mind.” “The mind is governed by means of creative cognition, and this is how it governs the elements of space, air, fire, water, and earth.” “Space is the bridge that leads from these elements into the world
of creative cognition,” her brother continued, ”and therefore
sound, as the natural inhabitant of space, is the most effective key
to the world of the mind, because it governs the five elements earth,
water, fire, air and space from within. And again her brother began to sing gloriously, and with the magnificent
song that came from his lips he appeased the storm of the forces of
destiny, as soon as they had been stirred by their steps. A miracle of lively creative diversity awaited Mani. All the trees, shrubs and grasses stood in fresh and green splendour, and were decorated with the most magnificent flowers and fruits. Between the branches the birds chirped their song of many voices; on the luscious meadows, strewn with myriads of flowers, the animals browsed together in peaceful harmony. The antilope grazed next to the tiger, and was greeted by the elephant when she turned toward him. Full of tender playfulness the monkey threw the delicate fresh leaves from the top of the tree down to the elephant who ate them gratefully. |
