Mani already sat on the ground, quickly closed her eyes and was at once sunk as if in a deep sleep.
When she woke up she saw only at a far distance, further up the mountain, a gleaming, richly decorated cavalcade with golden helmets and gleaming weapons riding on white horses up the milky way towards the moon.

Sparkling dew mizzled from the golden manes of the noble horses, and it seemed to her as if this nectar was also trickling down onto her own tongue, making her happy and encouraging her in her search of truth.
Now Mani wished the splendid warriors of this host of the air were back, and immediately the troops turned around - as if they had been called back by her - and charged at her all the more dark and grim, exciting storms even more violent than before. And quickly Mani sat down again scared and closed her eyes.

“Important is also that here, close to the transcendence, we do not interfere with the events with our individual likes or dislikes - with any limited feeling,” her brother explained, when she woke up again, ”because in the height of pure consciousness one single limited inner attitude is enough to be interpreted as an arbitrary intervention into the unfolding nature.
This kind of limited envolvement in complete and perfect events in nature can entangle the limited mind so much that the seeker completely loses sight of his way to truth, so that he even runs away from the domain of truth.”

This condition of simple and innocent observation of truth represented quite an obstacle to Mani. How should she go through such adventures as an indifferent observer - since she had been used to react to her environment, determining the way of her action by her experiences?
And here at the edge of the 'ring of the inner powers of the mind' she was supposed to suddenly turn her old habits upside down and to remain completely indifferent in the very moments of highest danger, in order to get on safely and unhurt!
Yet Mani decided to follow the advice of her brother in blind trust, and to try to follow this rule for the rest of the way.
