Mani looked at the ninth water-fairy. This radiant woman appeared to her by far more beautiful and charming than all the others. She expected a particular secret behind her radiant appearance.
And so she said, ”In this assembly you seem to be the noblest and loveliest lady. If you revealed the secret of your indescribably sublime beauty to me, I would certainly be the wisest among all mortals.”

“You simply have to submerge yourself into the waves of immortality and rule the eight worlds you have seen from your own power - just as you have seen my sisters rule them.”

“But not only do you have to learn how to rule the happy regions of my sisters individually, but also as a whole.
And even then the heavily guarded gate to the immortal magic realm of my father is not yet open to you, because the experiences you made in the happy worlds of my sisters created desires that bind you.”

“My sisters gave you hitherto unknown experiences,” the noble princess continued, ”but unfortunately all these luminous impressions fade in the course of time.
The star-gate to my father's immortal magic realm opens only to those who are really free, who have realized within themselves the unity of the desire and its fulfilment. This knowledge, however, cannot be given from outside.”

“But by performing great sacrificial deeds you may gain insight into this miraculous world of natural human dignity.”

“My father, who is living unrecognized on some island, can teach you such sacrifice.”

“If you learn from him I can guide you through his realm, and I can disclose all the secrets to you.
However, the access to this most sublime immortal magic kingdom of life you have to gain for yourself - all from within yourself.”
